I come before you broken. My heart cries out for your everlasting love. For something more. Something that cant be satisfied by anything of this world. Only you can fill every part of me, heal my pain, take away the hate inside of me.Why do I always feel so let down? I see so many people who are given the opportunity to embrace this gift of hope you have given us but they choose to deny it. They know its true. The truth is in everything around us. They have hidden it, tried to convince themselves that they can handle it alone, without your help. I know they cant. The battle is raging and we are surrendering ourselves to the easier side. The side that takes no work but yet reaps no reward. We have been decieved. Desperately you pursue each of us. You choose not to fight, you give us choice. The enemy calls out to us "Follow me and you will have everything you ever want" while you call out to us and say "My child I know everything about you, I know what will make you the happiest and what will fill all the desires of your heart but it is your decision" (Psalm 37:4). The enemy convinces us that we are fine on our own, seeking our own selfish ambitions. But this world has been a testimony that greed and selfishness only makes us feel more alone. You said "It is finished" (Jn 19:30). The battle is won. The only thing left up to us is to choose our side. Take a look around. We are falling apart. Why do you let us turn against you? Because in order for us to be saved we need to be broken first.

Reflections of a Broken Heart
